Beginning October 16, 2019, parents/guardians will log into the Infinite Campus Portal and complete the Impact Aid survey.
Hickam Elementary School awarded as a National Blue Ribbon School for Exemplary High Performing schools and is ranked in the top 15 percent of Hawaiʻi schools in achievement in English and math on 26 September, 2019 by the U.S. Department of Education.
More than 300 dads and their children came out for WATCH DOG Pizza Rally Night on 25 September, 2019. Eager to spend the time with their children and engaging in their education, the dads and other role models were invited to get involved at the school. WATCH DOGS is a national program. Hickam Elementary School invited parents and community to give feedback and insights to the school's improvement plan and hopes for their students. The Academic Plan considers the school's values and vision, students critical learning needs and feedback from all stakeholders. More than 70 families signed up and enjoyed the Taco Thursday Meal on September 12.
To promote family reading, Hikam Elementary School held a Doughnuts with Grown-Ups morning on Thursday, September 5, 2019. More than 350 students and family members took advantage of getting a cafeteria baked pastry then reading or being read to in our Multi-Media Literacy Center. Students got a book mark before hugging their parents and starting the school day too!
