Welcome to our Ohana! At Hickam Elementary, we proudly serve the families of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. As a designated Purple Star School, we understand that military life brings unique adventures and challenges—from frequent PCS moves to the emotional toll of deployments.
You are not alone. We have a robust, multi-tiered support system designed specifically to foster resilience and support the wellbeing of our Falcon families.
Our MFLC provides highly confidential, short-term, non-medical counseling services to military children and their families.
Whether your child is dealing with deployment separation, behavioral changes, or PCS anxiety, our MFLC is here to help. Services are free, and no written records are kept.
The Parent-Community Networking Center (PCNC) is the bridge between your home and our school.
Our PCNC facilitator organizes parent workshops, coordinates campus volunteers, and helps connect newly arrived families with local community resources to make Hawaii feel like home.
Anchored4Life is a comprehensive, student-led peer-to-peer club that provides transition and resiliency life skills.
Our student Team Leaders help welcome new students to campus, give school tours, and provide support kits to peers who are experiencing a deployment or preparing to move.
As a school serving a significant number of federally connected students, Hickam Elementary benefits from the Federal Impact Aid Program. This vital funding helps offset the cost of educating students whose parents live or work on federal properties. We encourage all eligible families to complete the annual Impact Aid survey, as it directly supports our school's ability to provide a high level of service to all students!
