on this episode of the Falcon review had some of the exciting things that are happening at our school more real-world learning with youth Capitol commentary starts now I wish we never met friendly faces you will see on on campus by the Sea shaded by a group of like for you and me Lego Rainbow Elementary School Minecraft Alexander Elementary School welcome to another episode of Rise of the Falcon I need Caroline and IMAX on Shadow I'm actually Connor Paolo and I'm cold and I'm Grayson Sheehan and I may bring you and I'm antibiotic hours and I am Andrew ye all of the exciting things that are happening at our school the Free Library was built by Coral Lily and Evie in sixth grade it started out as an idea they had in 5th grade and they decided to bring it to our school the free little Library located in front of the ATC how works if you bring a book from home and you can trade out for a book at the free little Library if you would like to visit the free little Library you can do so before or after school because of her caretakers are going to middle school next year new caretakers for the school year 2023 to 2024 a job students second grade and also did a great job the annual hat parade celebrating their love of reading reading eggs free games free videos of games that was awesome my favorite book is dumping let's look back at the highlights of our awesome spring programs I call myself a note to post drink with Johnnie Walker Green Play the song Thunder. Elsa videos speaking of great broadcast students got to make some great memories down to State Capitol here are some of the highlights Elementary School Aloha Aina Channel am and you're watching all of your Capital, Terry I'm a sixth grader at Hickam elementary school today and here is Congressman Ed Case how was your day today my day was excellent. Thank you how much are having me on and thank you for coming here from Hickam my day was excellent because I work in the United States Congress so I represent Hawaii in Washington DC but all of the people in this building the state legislature are they all are my send if the federal government is not hooked up with our state legislators here then things don't work but if I'm in touch with everybody here then it things go much better so my job here today is to join them and to make sure that I have my skip to know what I need to do for Hawaii back in DC so how are you going to do that back in DC will regret a lot of different tools that I that I use back there but the my main focus there is the what we call the Appropriations Committee and the Appropriations Committee he is the committee in Congress that funds are entire federal government and so I was lucky enough to get on that committee and as a result but I focus on is making sure that everything we're trying to do here in Hawaii for education at the child care to our military families is all taken care of by our federal government so my job is to make sure that that is all funded and that everything is working for us here in the way why we every year we go through what we called and Appropriations bill and that bill is the law the law that actually funds it so we have to pass that law out of Congress every year and then the president has to sign it just like any other law but before it passes Congress it has to go through a committee and that's my committee so I've got a lot of work to do when I get back to Washington sing else you would like to say to the well I just really great to be home I'm home for just a week usually I'm in Washington DC but today I came here to join I used be here in the state legislature this is where I started in politics so I actually still have friends that are in office here it's good to see friends, but I represent 750,000 people and that's half of Hawaii and I represent the rest of Hawaii indirect and so for me it's just a great to be back and I want to say one thing then that is what if anybody needs help with the federal side of things are has a question about your federal government my email address is Ed.
