Hickam Elementary School's Aloha Transition Center opens to rave reviews!

For children and military families the transition of moving to a new place new school and making new friends isn't always easy  represent memory from your home that you were in when you move to a new school it's hard because you know that you're not there not going to be anyone there that you know and it just going to pretty much have to have a full start over that's why Hickam Elementary School which is roughly 200 students come and go each year just opened Aloha transition Center throughout the whole year and it's just a opportunity for the to learn to meet new Student Center opened at the beginning of the month welcoming new students from fourth to sixth grade through student-led sessions essays of making friends and homework and they all get to see each other too so they see that's not just then that are the only new kids to the school in New Center is dedicated to the late Congressman Mark II kive supporter of military dependent students late Congressman Mark takai Grant Foundation Grant they provided us $25,000 and so that helped us to put down some of our on programs and then to renovate the center so far this year nearly 50 students of taking part in the program and eight times that we've moved over the this is the first time that I've ever seen a transition Center for my daughter and it has helped tremendously we just want to make sure everyone has a good time here in like connects with all the students
