Meet your Multi-Media Literacy Coach

Aloha,

My name is Sharilyn Yee, and I am the Multi-Media Literacy Coach at Hickam. I graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!!) with a Masters in Education. I started teaching in 2003 in Arizona and moved to Hawaii in 2010. I have been at Hickam since 2010, having taught 4th and 5th grade. In 2018, I transitioned over to be the Multi-Media Literacy Coach. I am looking forward to working with all your keiki during their wheel classes.

I was born and raised here on the beautiful island of Oahu. Although leaving for college, I am so glad to be back home with my husband, Aaron, and our three boys, Ashton, Andrew, and Acen. We love being outdoors, either at the beach or at the soccer field, going to the library, and taking trips to see the world!

I'm blessed to be living out my dream...to be an educator!!! I'm looking forward the different possibilities for our HES students!
