Cause you can see something What do like about not  having to wear  your mask? I think it's uncomfortable. What do you like about not having to wear a mask? Well, I I like not wearing a mask because it's hard to breathe and it just not comfortable. I like wearing a mask and I don't also because a mask is a bit uncomfortable but it's a bit hard to breathe. Camila, what do like about not having  to wear a mask? Because when I was wearing a mask it was super hot Yeah, I agree Thank you for your time! I'm Quorra Mintz with Rise of the Falcon News As you can see students are really happy to be able to see their friends faces again  I'm glad that we don't have to wear a mask outdoors anymore April is Month of the Military Child let's hear from our very own students  Hickam here at Hickam Elementary  what it's like being  a military child child is like Hi, I Yakira Lam with Rise of the Falcon News today I'm here with?  Emma,  Emma what do you like about being a military child? Ah, I like moving around as surprising as it sounds Is there anything you don't like about being a military child? My dad's long hours . So what do you like about being a military child? I like to explore different places. What do you like about being a military child? when I move I get to make new friends. What do you like about being a military child ? I like exploring the world and meeting new friends. I'm Quorra Mintz with Rise of the Falcon News, Today I have with me TSGT. Glover What do you like about being in the military? I like about being in the military is the camaraderie that we have with each other and being able to protect our great nation and our being able to do events like this with you guys. Nice,thank you, thank you for your time. Today, I have here with me. Hi good morning, I'm CMSGT. Roller What do you like about being  in the military? Well, I like the teamwork that I experience on a day to day basis and the camaraderie with my fellow Airmen I love having the spirit of service feeling like I'm contributing to the defense of our nation What exactly do you mean by teamwork? teamwork is essential to pretty much everything we do in the military I cannot do my job alone and the airmen next to me cannot do their job alone but, if we combine our efforts we can make the mission happen. As part of the Military Child Celebration we would like to thank the members of the 15th MX group for volunteering and passing out challenge coins as students came to school. We would also like to thank the PCNC for providing purple leis and pens to the staff. PTO for the cookies for the volunteers Pacific Fleet Tradewinds band for their awesome performance. Author Christina  Leija for donating her book Moving Day and a special thank you to Mrs. Mondok and Mrs. Priebe for coordinating the event. I  didn't know that there was so many great things are being a  military child. Yeah it's great! Speaking of great let's take a look at some of the great things that are happening at our school. This Month in History, on May 4th 1494 during his second journey of exploration in the new world Christopher Columbus discovered Jamica Which is in Africa. This Month in History on May 17th 1792 . Is when 2 dozen merchants and Brokers established the New York Stock Exchange. Now it's time for the Hawaiian Word of the Week The Hawaiian Word of the Week is Humuhumunukunukuapua'a which is the Hawaiian State fish and really hard to say. Get ready to laugh with the Joke of the Week. Why couldn't the pony sing a lullaby? She was a little horse! How do you say hello or goodbye to an ocean? You wave!!
